Welcome new ICT student, this page is exactly for you!

We have made a compact info package on this page so that your start in the university will start smoothly.

What do you do in the university?

Simply you study. From the beginning the studies are diverse and interesting including physics, mathematics and basics of computer science and languages and communication continuing with programming and electronics. The difficulties between courses differ but every course is passable with active studying and with the help of friends. The meaning of friends can’t be emphasised too much because many courses get easier with cooperation.

Luckily student life isn’t just cramming. Digit and other subject organizations arrange leisure activities from parties and bar crawls to football shifts and programming clubs. Versatile activity ensures that everybody finds their own activities.

One cannot forget Turku’s teekkari culture (teekkari = technical student in university)! Even though we are small group in our university, Turku’s teekkari culture is alive and well. The highlights of the year are pranking (jäynä), TiTeenien taisto (Battle of ICT students) and of course TeekkariWappu!
